What to Expect
At Your First
Physiotherapy Appointment
Your Initial appointment entails a comprehensive assessment where your physiotherapist will evaluate your strength, flexibility, functional capacity, gait, reflexes, and more. This appraisal helps identify the problem accurately and formulate an appropriate treatment plan. Palpation techniques may also be used to examine the injured or affected area.
The assessment and treatment typically lasts between 45-60 minutes. Throughout the process, you’re encouraged to ask any questions. Your physiotherapist will maintain open communication, usually reaching a conclusion towards the end of your assessment.

What Happens
After Your First Appointment?
As you wrap up your initial appointment, you’ll have the opportunity to schedule any necessary follow-up appointments.
In the days following your assessment, you might experience some soreness,
depending on the variety of tests performed during your examination. This discomfort is temporary, typically subsiding within 24-48 hours. It’s important to keep your body well-nourished and hydrated during this period, as it can help alleviate any residual soreness.
In your subsequent appointments, your physiotherapist will administer treatments to alleviate your symptoms. These might include
- Manual therapy techniques
- Prescribed exercises
- Other modalities
- Heat therapy
- Cold therapy
- Acupuncture
- Stretching
- Joint or soft tissue Corticosteroid injection

What our client says
My husband has been on the NHS waiting list for a cortisone injection in his knee.He was in so much pain he couldn't walk properly. I phoned this new clinic, got an appointment for a couple of days later and my husband is now pain free! A fantastic service, I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I took my mother to re Nitin today as she was having a lot of pain in her hip/groin area. Nitin was very good on first communications on booking the appointment via text message. I got a reminder message which included full address also. On going into the clinic it was very new and clean. Nitin sat down and we had a long consultation about what and where mums pain was coming from and then went onto the treatment room where he did a full examination. I was very impressed with the examination as he was very thorough. He was able to assure us that it was a muscle problem rather than hip joint. He proceeded to give ultrasound therapy and then a set of exercises. The whole experience made me impressed. He was very confident in what he was doing and saying, He was kind, considerate of dignity and was not forceful to come back unless we felt it was needed as he was sure it will resolve. Thank you Nitin.

I phoned for an appointment as I had a knee problem. Mr Sharma gave me a home visit the very same day at a very reasonable rate. He identified the problem, gave me advice and a treatment plan all of which he e-mailed to me and following his advice I had the first night's pain free sleep in ages. He did not try to push further treatment from him but said there were other options we could explore if this didn't work. Highly recommend 👌
